We had a great weekend in Rochelle attending Baby Fitz's shower and seeing lots of people I don't get to see very often. Dave played golf while I was at the shower and then Saturday evening we went to our favorite Mexican restaurant,Rosita's in DeKalb. Wow took three tries to type DeKalb, reminded me of my early days at the phone company typing addresses on envelopes. Can't remember how long I had been working there before someone told me that the k was capitalized. DUH!
We also had a great day with Ali today. We went to pick up the dogs and take her out to lunch and ended up shopping the afternoon away. She was determined to find jeans for her dad that made him look like he has a butt. No easy task I might add. But we managed and BONUS they were on sale. It was a bang-up day.
When we got home I watched the video of Garth's memorial service. My heart is kind of heavy now but I am glad that today's technology allowed me to watch it. They tried to zoom in on the casket at the beginning but the honor guard was in the way and I'm glad because I want to remember my last conversation with Garth in the hallway a few days after the last sectional game. I will miss talking basketball with him.
