Great Weekend

We had a great weekend in Illinois. On Friday night we got together with Sean and Meg, and many friends at the Rochelle Country Club. Its not really a country club anymore, it has been sold and gone public, but they still call it that and probably always will. Anyway, we had a nice visit with lots of friends we haven't been able to see in quite awhile. We got to meet Ms. Ellie Fitzgerald, what a cutie!

Saturday we played golf with Sean, the Johnsons(boys) and us. It was raining and not really all that pleasant but it was a chance to spend some time with SEan. That afternoon we went to Kishwaukee Forest Preserve for a picnic with former Rockford Products employees. The sheriff came early on to tell us to watch the river as he thought it was rising. Since death by drowning is not my preferred method I took his advice and watched the river rise. When it was about 8 inches deep over the drive into the picnic area I hustled us out of there. Some of the others didn't seem to be in a hurry to leave but I hope they got out.

Rest of the weekend was kind of laid back and lazy but enjoyable. Had to work yesterday and here it is noon on Thursday and haven't accomplished much more than laundry this week so I'd better get moving. TTFN(ta ta for now)

Still Alive

As you can tell, I have been busy. School was late getting out and I started my summer job at the golf course the next day. Sean and Meg got married on the 26th of June and we had a great time. They will be visiting in the Chicago-Rochelle area this weekend so we are looking forward to seeing them there. Now---yard work is waiting UGH!
